Let the Sillies out!

There's many things I absolutely love in this world, first and foremost God, my family, Starbucks and my iPhone.. to name a few. The APPS on the iphone are so much fun and can provide for hours of entertainment. I came across one called "pimpy". I mostly buy Free APPS and this one was, so I figured I'd get it try it out and if I didn't like it just delete it. I've has so much fun with this APP and unfortunately, my family have been my victims!

Fan-ATTICKS!

On Sunday the boys finally were able to head to the long awaited WWE PPV Elimination chamber which was taped at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, Ca. It was planned about a month or so ago. The tickets were bought and Andrew asked his usual 50 questions... a day! As you can see from the picture to the left the "chamber" is quite intimidating. This was a big thing for Andrew. He's been into the Wrestling for maybe about the past 6 months. I don't anticipate a change in hobby anytime soon. What I probably love most about it is, Steven has always been a WWE fan, since before him and I even met some 14 years ago. We even went to a few event's. Only then it was Kurt Angle and The Rock, ironically The Rock has come back to the WWE - no complaints there, he is my favorite. What I'm getting at is Steven still watches and Loves it. It's a great bonding tool for them. Every Monday and Friday night the house shuts down for Monday Night RAW and Friday night Smackdown. I'll admit, I even watch it =) The boys left in the afternoon and did not get home until late that night. Most of Andrew's favorite guys were there. There was even speculation that The Undertake, which is Andrew's #1, was going to make his comeback, which didn't happen.

The lowering of the Chamber

Andrew plugging his ears during the Pyrotechnics

They Stayed a while and watched the chamber get taken apart

They even left in time to see some of the wrestlers leaving. Andrew even got some waves which he was happy about.

As if the WWE Elimination Chamber wasn't enough...

Steven came to me yesterday and said that they are filming Friday night Smack Down tonight
( in our home town ) Which will be the show they air Friday night we usually watch on TV. The Undertaker was also going to be making an appearance. He wanted to take the boys and I really wasn't too hot on the idea. I thought i was a little over kill. He also wanted to take Luke who also loves WWE. He's a John Cena fan. I picked up Andrew from school to a notice for an award he's getting Friday, a great spelling test, and a 27 ( which is great ) on his rocket math. It make the decision of them going that much more rewarding. An early dinner and off went the boys. Unfortunately, Steven's camera was acting up so no pics and I was greeted home at 10pm with 2 grouchy sleeping boys!

Coming along...

In my first blog of the year "Happy New Year" I listed some things I really wanted to do this year. So, far I'm really on a roll. I've already had a couple scrap nights and finally finished my best friends Mom's wedding album. I won't mention how long I had that thing*Cough* (a year). I can't wait to give it to her in a couple weeks!

Second, I have already started organizing and separating pictures. I've already done a thousand of the 3 that are on my computer. With my organizing goals, I realized with 2 small kids, I'm never going to really be organized. I have a rules as far as things/toys being ripped or broken go, if I find them destroyed they are automatic trash! We've also been in this house for 3 years and I really do feel that it's a life long project. There's so much to get done, and it will in the years as time and money allows.

I'm happy to also report I've had many girls nights and have take more time to visit with friends in the day time when I can. It's important to embrace those friendships. And I'm really proud of myself for the efforts I've made so far and it only being February!

Prayers are needed..

I don't normally post a lot of prayer requests, or things of that nature. Not because I don't believe in the power of prayer. But I know my blog does not generate much traffic. However, I can't help but shed some tears for this family. They are a family in our community, and though I have never formally met them, I see them everyday at school for drop off and pick up. They have 4 kids, 3 girls and 1 boy.

About 2 weeks ago, they learned that their daughter, Brooklyn, was diagnosed with "All Leukemia". As a mother of 2 I can't even imagine the pain and heartache this family is experiencing right now, and I know they need all the thoughts and prayers they can get.

Please visit their blog to learn a little bit about Brooklyn's Journey, and tonight, please include them in your bedtime prayers. I would hope that if I were in their shoe's someone would have it in their hearts to do this for my family. Thank you for reading!

Early this morning, my brother's baby girl arrived, Cheyenne. Middle and last name still undecided ( an unfortunate situation ) Regardless of all the chaos and drama between my brother and the Mother, Cheyenne is healthy and absolutely beautiful!

Happy New year?

Is it really a new year? It's hard to accept, when I think about it, how fast 2010 went. It wasn't a bad year, but there were some things that happen that I wish didn't. And when it was all said and done, I really do have more to be thankful for than the things I wish would have happened differently. I've decided to not make any resolutions this year. As years past have shown, I'm not great at keeping them because there's always something that prevents me from accomplishing them.

So, rather than a list of resolutions, I'm just going to make a To Do list. I'm better at those =)
Along the way, I'm going to focus on doing things differently, directing my energy to the positive and staying as far away from the negative as possible. Which if you knew my family seems hard to do these days. I have great friends that I'd like to spend more time with and find an even balance between that, work and home. Home being my number 1 priority of course.

Here's some of the things I'd like to work on this year:
  • Scrap - I really want to get the boys books started. Andrew's baby book is started but Luke's isn't. I really want to get their memories saved for them.
  • Back up all my pictures off my computer to disks, and every month print 1 batch out. I'm so afraid I'm going to loose the pics on my computer.
  • Get more organized - If we aren't using it, out it goes! Our office has become a catch all room, and I'd like it more organized as this is where I will be scrapping.
  • Taking a little more time for me. This is not as easy done as said. Normally when that time comes up, I'm too tired, so I really need to encourage my self to muster up the motivation.
I really hope everyone is having a great start to 2011!

3 is the magic number

Today our little man turned 3! Where did the past 3 years go? I feel like it was just yesterday that we were trying to conceive him.

Luke, your such a goof ball! Your strong willed, stubborn and know exactly what you want. You have no problem tell us how it's. You have the silliest laugh and currently are on your way to being diaper free. You have been doing great and get better with each day. You love Batman, Iron man and John Cena.. You are easy going for the most part and love playing with Andrew, who you call Doo doo. The smiles you give me daily are endless! You love adventure and are fearless there's nothing that will stop you!

Happy Birthday, booger, we love you!

Santa Baby!

Today I had tons of errands to run! I was desperately trying to chase down a John Cena action figure for Luke's B-day, but apparently he's a popular one because I can't find him. We saw one at Toys R Us last week but the kids were with us. Hate when that happens! Any who, after some magic googling, not only was I able to locate Mr. Cena, I also found some action gloves too. I found the same pair today and Kmart but they were Andrew's Fav wrestler, The Undertaker. So, completely unplanned they are getting matching pairs of their fav wrestlers - Score! =)

I also needed to pick up some jeans for Andrew for Xmas and some new PJ's for Andrew's Pajama Day at school Friday. I ended up leaving with a pair for each of the boys! They are snowman and totally cute! One thing I love about getting a early start on my day ( while most people are at work) is the mall was pretty much empty, meaning no line for Santa. Andrew got to stop in one night and say Hi to Santa, and I really wanted to at least allow the same for Luke. It worked out perfectly. Only this time I remembered to take a pic.

Look who's 7?!?

On Sunday, my first born, my baby ( he will always be my baby ) turned 7! I'm not sure how this could be since I feel as if I JUST had him, but I guess that's how the years go, right?

Originally, I was planning for a very low key end of the year - no party! But how can I NOT have a party! I got an ear full for it and really didn't feel like doing a big huge partly like we normally do, was too late to plan something like that at this point anyways. Thus we compromise. 10 friends were chosen ( a very hard task for a little boy ) and a very small WWE themed party was born.
Almost everyone came to celebrate Andrew's special day with him Both Set's of Grandparent's and Aunt, Uncle and cousin, Alone with 9 buddies.

It was hard to tell kids, majority of which were boys, that there will be no wrestling at a wrestling party. We had a 2 hours block to do face painting ( thanks to my bestie Stephanie) for volunteering for this task! We made WWE wrestling belts and played pin the hate on Undertaker, Andrew's favorite wrestler. Kids didn't seem to want to eat much, which was fine, but left empty time for the boys to get in trouble wrestling. We closed the party with cake and presents! It was a fantastic way to spend a rainy cold Saturday.

I love you Andrew, with all my heart. My life changed in amazing ways I never thought possible the day I saw you enter the world. You are the light of my life and I can't wait to see you grow up into a young man!

Happy Birthday, Love Mom, Dad & Lukie

Halloween 2010

I thought it was best to post the pic of the boys at Halloween now, before I turn around and it's Thanksgiving. This years costume selection was a rather easy one. Luke wanted to be Batman and Andrew wanted to be "Boo Face" as we call it. Better known as the white ghost face from the Movie Scream. Luke has not parted with his Batman costume since Halloween. He's often times in full costume, or at the very least you'll see him running around wearing the mask or the cape. I figure it's best to get our monies worth, right?

A beautiful day in the bay!

The weekend before Andrew started school, we decided to officially end our summer with some good ol' American ball! We headed out early in the morning and decided to take the Bart from Concord into SF. Nothing like a Giant's game with friends and family to end the summer!

On the Muni to the ball park:
I was literally smashed against the door, I wonder where all these
people were going?? ;) hehe

It was indeed, a beautiful day in the bay

Andrew ( with Lou Seal ) and my niece Emma enjoying the game

My sister n law, don't worry she doesn't bite!

Mama and Andrew.. just being... well, Andrew!
I love this picture

Whack!!!!!

Yep! I whacked off all my hair! A change was a' coming! Though I'm not entirely fond of the "A line" It's nice for a change to have it short. Once it grows our some more I'm going to even out the length and do some layers!

Before:

After:
My bestie and Stylist, Stephanie. She's going to school do to hair so I went down to support her and had her cut my hair at school. I can't wait until she's in a salon =)

First Day of 1st Grade

Last Monday I officially had a 1st grader! I can't say enough how thrilled I was for Andrew to start school, let alone the fact this year he goes a full day. While I still have a toddler at home, it's nice to have that down time and be able to give Luke the solid attention that Andrew got at his age. It was such a drag dropping him off at 8 and having to be back to get him at 11:40. You can't really get that much done in less than 4 hours. A costco trip and Target and then it was time to get him. So, It's safe to say I'm relieved and excited about the new schedule. did I mention we had that schedule for 2 years? We decided, since Andrew was super young when he started Kinder, to have him do another year. I believe it will be the best thing educationally we will do for him - the process was astonishing. Amazing the difference the second year made.

On the other hand I think Andrew really needed this as well. My little man's bran is way too active to not be absorbing and learning! We are already seeing some behavior improvements, so this may be just what the Dr. ordered!

Better late than never...

I told myself that the first thing I was going to do when I got on the computer today was post a blog. So, here I am. Let me see how far I can get ;). I miss blogging dearly, and have had plenty to blog about, so it's unclear to me why I have not blogged. Time could be my only logical conclusion...
As for our exciting news I mentioned in my last very brief post, thought it was time to blog about it before it isn't new news anymore. I mean heck, I still haven't even blogged about our Disneyland trip from May. I do give myself kudos for actually starting a blog for Day 1 of the trip.
So, about a month ago my husband randomly thought it was a good idea to stop at the animal shelter and look. We were in the area and thought the kids would enjoy it. Now, as some of you may recall a little over a year ago, we made the tough decision to find a new home for our 2 mini Doxies. It was one of the toughest things we had to do, but we know in our hearts it was what was best for everyone. I didn't trust frank around the kids alone, he had grown mean and aggressive and with how they were, they would be best suited in a home with no kids and someone who can sleep with them all day. which is really exactly where they went. We knew we would get another dog down the line better suited for our family, but never thought it would be so soon! One of the major factors for me was a bigger dog. No more lap dogs! Of course the priority over anything was going to be kid friendly. We needed a dog that could take a beating from my kids if it were to accidently happen and understand they are kids, not attempt to bite them in defense.
The shelter was full. Tons of homeless cats and dogs, it's just heartbreaking. How could you just leave with one? You feel so guilty. While we were there we did see Gretchen: She's about a 1 1/2 year old Staffordshire Terrier. This is her "mug shot" at the shelter.
While not so noticeable here, she has the most amazing pretty blue eyes!
Gretchen has settled in nicely. She's already attached to the family. She's amazing with the kids and has shown to be a good protector of her house =) She doesn't bark much, and hasn't gone to the bathroom in the house once. Though, we do have a chair that got munched on, a remote and some other random items, Gretchen had to be crate training but did so with flying colors!

MIA!

I've been so out of the bloggy world lately and it stinks! We've been super super busy and finding time to sit and blog seems impossible. I've just put away a few loads of laundry ( just to start another ) and while I enjoy my last unknown minutes of quiet time before my 2 year old gets up from his nap, I though I'd just check in. Since March, it has been crazy. We've started baseball and that seems to consume most of our time and weekends. If that isn't enough to keep us on the run, we've added endless amounts of B-day's and first communions to the list. Basically we go to the game just to come home shower, change and if time permits give the baby a nap before our next adventure. Sometimes getting us home rather late. Our days are full my hours are long, and I'm already whopped. And summer hasn't even started!

Our weather is slowly starting to get nice. We are expecting a small round of rain the next day or so, and after that we should be all sunshine! I'm excited to get some spray park playdates on the calendar with our Wild Ones and I'm sure we'll be adding some Summer B-day's to the list.

As for now, we are more than excited waiting in anticipation for our small upcoming mini vaca! I can't wait. The trip is long over due, the family ( and my sanity ) is in need of a much needed getaway!

Hey Batter, Batter Swing Batter, Batter!

Baseball season is in full force, which means a busy schedule and sun tans! Lots of changes from T-ball as far as rules go, but same great coach and same great boys again this year! Unlike last year where we were the Diamond Backs, this year we are the Giants! Steven couldn't be more happy with this change, as I can imagine many of the other parents as well. We have 2 games a week, which I unfortunately miss the midweek one due to work, but Saturdays are on! There's nothing better than sipping on your favorite Iced beverage soaking up some rays watching your boy play some ball. Luke will be joining me this year, he loves baseball and can't get enough of watching brother.

Opening day seemed to go by so fast, and I was not in a good enough spot to get some pics of the ceremony but we did have a game almost right after. A trip to Starbucks and back to the field we were!

Here are a few shots of my little Giant at his first game.

Nothing better than your brother cheering you on and trying to sneak in the dug out!
