Vacation Day 4
Friday was nothing special. Did not get anything done as far as the office goes. The boys room is done. I will make note of that. We had a fairly early dinner. I went and picked up a pizza at Round Table. After dinner we hung out some and Steven started having some Rum and Coke. I figured this would be interesting since we were planning on grabbing some coffee and Hot Chocolate and head to the Fab 40's to look at Christmas lights. We do this every year and it is a great way to have family time! By the time we headed out Steven had already had 2 tall glasses of Rum and Coke. We all got dressed and headed out. Steven had prepared his 3rd R&C for the trip. No coffee for him and as you can imagine, the trip was interesting. By the time we had made it down town, the R&C was gone. I found myself at a liquor store buying a huge can of Fosters. Driving around with a buzzed husband you are sure to have some laughs. And that is exactly what happen. By the time I got home, I had Banana hand sanitizer and Beer spilled all over my pants both compliments of Steven I might add. When we got home is was passes Luke's Bed time, so I changed him and put his PJ's on first thing. Mr. Luke urinated on me! He has not done that since he was a new born! LOL I was not shocked I mean Hand sanitizer and Beer , what is a little pee, right? lol The night was memorable for sure!
Vacation Day 5
Saturday was just a ordinary Saturday. Nothing too big to report. Steven got up and went on his run. Thankfully it was a little later in the morning than it normally is. He usually heads out about 6-7am. How he does it in the cold I don't know, but he does! He headed out around 8ish. I got up and did the usual breakfast. I made scrambled eggs for the boys. It was Luke's first egg and he seemed to enjoy it. I had an egg over easy with a piece of bread. I did the dishes and some house work. I had a nail apt at 1 so I got ready that way I could put Luke down for a nap and leave when Steven returned for his run. I headed out at 11:30ish. I had to go to the bank first and then stopped at Mervyn's to see what was left of the liquidation. I scored a pair of wedges originally 45 for 14 bucks!
After I got home it was pretty relaxing the rest of the evening. I made a quick trip to Home Depot to get a new air filter in the evening, took Andrew with me. It was kinda nice to spend some alone time with him. A little strange to not have Luke, actually. I ended the night with some gift wrapping.

Vacation Day 2
Not a whole lot going on today. I did some more of our Christmas cards last night. I need to get some stamps and pick up the pics from Costco and buy some stamps, which I'll do tomorrow. They would have gone out today but the first pictures I printed was the incorrect one. It was the one before I corrected the red eye. I was going to just send them out that way, but Luke looked a little possessed with red eyes.
As far as my accomplishments for today? Not a whole lot. I dropped off Andrew at school and then headed to drop an ipod off at my friends house that I had ordered for her. It was so darn cold and could not find her apt. for the life of me. The way the Apt. were set up was strange to me. By the time I found it it was 26 min later. Luke was such a trooper. I knocked on the door - no answer. I left the other piece of paper at home with her work address on it, so I just headed to the mall to get a few things. After that, a quick stop at Starbucks and off to pick Andrew up. I wanted so badly to go home but Luke had 3 diapers left. So, back the way I came home for a trip to Target. Finally I was home bound.
I called my friend to tell her what happen and to promise that I did not flake on her. She laughed because they have not lived in Apt 249 for almost a year, they are in 248. And what is even funnier about it , is when I asked one of the office people who was driving around on a gold cart,I asked where 249 was. She pointed to the area and she said I know someone who lives in 248? She meant my friend but of course how was I to know? hehe
So, not been up to much. Andrew watched Spider man. Luke has finally fell asleep after almost 2 hours of fighting it. I did just a few things to help the efforts of Task 2, did some dishes and just picked up random stuff. Steven will be home soon, going to get the chicken ready. We are having chicken and rice tonight ( If you care = D )

Vacation Day 1
It almost feels strange not working. Especially knowing I have 13 whole days of this. Oh what oh what am I going to do with myself? A whole lot of nothing is the goal. My main thing is to stay home as much as possible and do the things I need and want to do.
Task # 1 - Change
Task # 1 is already under way. This weekend a close friend of the family blessed us with some bunk beds. Our plan was to buy some with our tax return, but god blessed us instead. Now, we can buy a new washer and dryer since ours decided to start leaking and only dry the clothes on random occasions. I pray that they last until February! This task also included ( Steven's genius idea) moving Luke into Andrew's room, which in my opinion is a little too early regardless if he is still in the crib or not. This is going to cause me problems more than anyone. Which leads me into task #2
Task # 2- Out with the old in with the used
Since this room was Luke's and we have a ton of old baby stuff still lingering around. I have to get the courage to finally part with it. No more babies for us. This will be a cleansing period for sure. And I hope to not shed any tears as I say good bye forever to baby bottles, baby swing, infant play sets ect. I have already got all the piles ready.
- Give away ( donate/ Goodwill )
- Take to once upon a child
- Garbage
- And clothes for the neighbor
Task 3 will be posted when 2 is a little more complete!
On a side note, the 13th marked our one year anniversary living in our house. It has been one day since we moved in and got the keys. We had to submit our 1 year warranty sheet so today they came and corrected the plethora of cracks found from the settling of the house. They have to come back and fix the master shower. Some of the tile had separated and as a result the grout is gone. They will be back on the 29th for that. Other than that, Andrew is still in school so I am still doing the normal Mommy taxi duties to and from school.
That's all for now, I am off to do some dishes and start our yummy dinner. I am making Tritip, grilled Asparagus and Garlic bread - Yum =)'
