Bee Movie

Friday, we decided to take Andrew to see the bee movie. He has seen the previews and has mentioned he wants to see it. Last movie we saw was Nightmare before christmas in 3D, he sat through that and pretty much eat a meduim bag of popcorn with a little bit of help from mommy and daddy. This time he was squirmy and moving around a lot. So, the movie did not capture his attention like ones he really loves.

I thought it was okay, certainly not as attention getting as Cars ( for me at least ). I wouldn't buy it, lets just say that. It was just "cute".

The Nightmare Before Christmas 3D

"I am the one hiding under your bead
Teeth ground sharp and eyes glowing red
I am the one hiding under your stairs
Fingers like snakes and spiders in my hair"

With Andrew's craze for The Nightmare Before Christmas it was only appropriate that we take him to see the limited screening in 3D. It was for 3 weeks only, so I made sure we saw it the first weekend before show times began to sell out. It was cool Andrew had NO clue. We did not even tell him we were going to a movie this weekend. We just got up, got ready and went out. We ended at the Greenback lane Century, which used to be known as the Cinedome's. We played stupid acting like we did not know what this was and Daddy mistakenly drove in there..We said we will just go in and look. Andrew was no dummy. Still not knowing what we were there to see, and no Nightmare Before Christmas posters in site made it that much easier and more fun. He made it well known, however, that he knew exactly where we were at. So, as we did our first stop to the potty room, then to get popcorn, hotdog and waters. He spent the whole time discussing with me what we could possibly be here to see, as I told him I had no clue what they were going to be showing.. the excitement on his face was so rewarding as a parent, those big beautiful browns eyes lighting up with excitement and curiosity. He was in charge of the popcorn, his eyes practically fell out of his head into the bad when he looked down into it. I got a medium because we always waste a large ( Steven and I that is) Well, what a mistake that was. I had to tell him not to eat any or attempt to eat the popcorn with his mouth. He stared at the bag the whole time, until we sat down and got the go ahead to enjoy. Would you know, that with the help and Steven and I ( which was honestly not that much) , he practically had the whole bag of popcorn demolished before the movie was over?! i kid you not! Now, this really should be no surprise to me other than the fact that he is only almost 4! His Daddy LOVES Popcorn and Grandpa Tom cannot go into Target without getting his bag. So, clearly, the Popcon craze runs in the family. Another fun part of the movie was the super fun 3D glasses we had to wear. It was not that hard to get Andrew to wear them, poor guy, they were just a little too big *lol* Now, he gets to play with them.. all three pairs =).
He was awesome, with the exception of the talking from excitement he watched the whole movie with no problem!

Yo! Gabba Gabba?

**Yo Gabba Gabba! is a children's television series created by Christian Jacobs (alias The MC Bat Commander) and Scott Schultz. It is produced by The Magic Store and Wild Brain. It premiered on Nick Jr. and Noggin on August 20, 2007.**

Okay! So, I really want to know who "approves" these shows for air. What process does a "idea" have to go through for someone to say this is crap or this is awesome. I have seen my fair share of brilliant animation and cartoon story line... I particluarly care for the educational ones. I mean lets face it if we are going to let our children watch the TV they should at least learn something , right? So... bring on the Dora, Diego, Backyardigans, Mickey Mouse Club house, Handy Manny ect. But WHO 1. named this show "Yo! Gabba Gabba?" 2. What in the world does it mean 3. Why the man in the funky orange/white suit and snow hat?

My son cannot get enough of this show.. I mean granted I have only seen 2 which are titled "eat" and "Nap" or it might be Sleep. The one we keep watching right now is "Eat" and in case you have not yet seen the show.. let me entertain you.

This is what we get to watch and listen to! I mean I guess if Andrew loves it I can sacrafice my Special Delivery or Bringing home baby? sigh, if I have to. But Can't we watch Mickey Mouse club house instead? All I have to say is WOW!

Transformers Three stars

In addition to the 4th Steven had got another day off. He said he wanted to take Andrew to see the Transformers, which I was unsure of because it was not a cartoon and Cars did not go as great as we hoped. Although It is funny, now, he can sit and watch the whole thing at home, but no way in the cinema. So, off to the movies we go ( while I am feeling very horrible ).

Now, I must say, I am not very much into these types of movies ( with the exception of Starwars ) However, I was very surprised at how much I actually enjoyed the movie. It is very cute action packed and has its fair share of comical parts. I also enjoyed the cast. I loved the way they gave them personalities. Andrew, had his mouth dropped at certain points.. of course when the cars were racing or when the transformers were actually doing something interesting. Other than that he was all over the place, maybe we should not get him an Icee next time? He has to pee 3 times ( I did not even have to go ) So, I missed some parts.
So, if you need a good family movie - I highly recommend!
