New Years

I feel like getting to the computer to blog is just as hard as finding time for myself. I wanted to blog each day of my vacation and I think I got to day 4 or 5 - Unbelievable! I was on vacation, there should be no excuse! Anyways -

This year was a nice New Years Eve at home. We, unfortunately, had to cancel our original plans of going to my aunt and Uncles' because we have had sick kiddo's since Christmas eve. The cough still lingers for both the kids, but thank goodness the fever's are gone. Now the last challenge is to for Steven and I to fight whatever germ entered our home to infect. The night was relaxing, I drank ( I was the only one ) I wanted Steven to drink with me and that did not happen. We played some Guitar Hero, watched Hulk, played and eat my home made Chili. We made it to 11:30. Daddy was falling asleep on the couch and of course Luke had already been in bed for some  hours. I figured it would be no fun to bring in the New Year alone, so we all just went to bed. It was not that I did not enjoy staying home, but every year we always just do to bed. We never stay up, or I do and someone else falls asleep!

New Years Day I figured it would be nice to go out to eat. We wanted to try a new place, Johny Garlic's, that is co-owned by one of our favorite Food Network personalities, Guy Fieri. We LOVE watching Diners, Drive-ins, Dives, though I always get super hungry watching!
So we met Grandma, Grandpa, Emma and Aunt Leslie loaded the Burb and headed to Roseville for lunch. It was overall a nice restaurant, I had the Blackedned Creole Chicken, which was a tad spicy but overall had an amazing flavor. Personally, I prefer his other co owned adventure Tex Wasabi's. The menu is bigger, with a huge variety to choose from and the atmosphere is a little more up beat. Later that evening we had My parents over for a couple drinks, left over Chili a some relaxation.
