How much is enough?

I feel like I  have gone so over board this year. Or should I say Santa has. Andrew's big gift this year is a Red line BMX bike. Luke we did not do a really big gift for because he is so young and does not understand Christmas yet. Luke's B-day is tomorrow so he will get a couple gifts then as well. I got them tons of clothes so they probably have as many packages of clothes as they will toys. Primarily because I don't want them thinking Santa only brings toys. I am sure the older they get the # of gifs under the tree will be fewer as the things they ask for become increasingly expensive. But what I would like to know, is what other people think is a reasonable amount of presents for Santa to bring for 1 child?

Tell me what you think, I'd like to hear your thoughts. I talked to one lady and she bought her son a game and some T-shirts sox ect. Where as some parents buy dozens of toys, clothes and so on.

Everyone has their own reasons, beliefs, and whys for buying or not buying gifts. Do what you think is right for YOU.

I am a low-income single mother, so for many years I jst don't have much money so I adopted the idea of the wisemen and offer three gifts for my children. If Christ only got 3 gifts then my children can live with 3 gifts. They also get a stocking from Santa and a Treasure Bag from mom (similar to a stocking) filled with simple things like fruit, toothbrush, toothpaste, crayons, coloring book, etc.

we do one bigger santa gift, small items (really inexpensive or necessities) in a stocking and then a few presents from us to the kids!

Hello there :) I found you thru my blog and this is my first visit to you... we generally do one big gift from Santa then a few smaller things. Plus Mommy & Daddy give a few special gifts (like I give my older daughter a journal every year)... Not only due to financial restraints, but also, we don't want our girls to grow up expecting tons of gifts or to become greedy...
