I'll start from the beginning of November. Actually I take that back. October 30. I was offered a temporary promotion at work. Basically I would have been filling in for a manager for almost 2 months while they were away for training. This is my goal At Apple is to be a manager, I was so close I could taste it.. I applied for the position by the encouragement of my manager. I made it clear to him that the notice was just too short at this time ( literally 24 hours ) I applied on a Wednesday, got the call Thursday at 4pm that I got it and was to report that Friday morning for training. Yikes! I panicked thinking I would not be able to make arrangements with this kids and turned it down * stupid ** stupid ** stupid *!! I was kicking myself in the rear all weekend for it. But, I am now more determined than ever with the feedback that I was given by the managers when I had the call with them offering me the position. I just have to be ready to make the sacrifice when the next opportunity comes along..
So far for November, we have had oodles of Dr. Apt. ( with more to come), we celebrated my brothers 20th B-day, My Dad has his surgery ( and is doing awesome) He has lost 18lbs in 9 days! Andrew's first soccer season came to and end ( Hooray for that) and he had his very first parent teacher conference. The boys have pretty much been sick for all of November. Runny noses, coughing and lots of sneezes.
Today I went to a friends Baby shower. She's having a boy and is Due December 25th. It's crazy her and I and how we are friends. We actually lost connection for many years and became friends again thanks to Myspace. We had a falling out ( my fault ) and I figured life is too short, and we were so so close. Now we get to enjoy one another and watch our families grown. We are only 2 days apart in age and were like 2 peas in a pod in HS. And now her son is due 2 days after my son's b-day. How odd is that? Let's see if the little rascal actually comes when he is supposed to =)
Next weeks is going to be absolutely insane! With Thanksgiving being the obvious... Andrew's school ends Tuesday. Steven has as short week as well. My goal is to have all the the Thanksgiving food shopping, regular grocery shopping and Andrew's B-day shopping done Tuesday. I do not want to be out in that Holiday rush this year! Friday is Andrew's actual B-day, he will be 5. So, we are thinking about taking him to the Nut Tree Theme Park as his special thing. We went once before and it was a blast. We have tons of tickers left over from last time and I know this will make it feel like a special day for Andrew. That evening before it gets dark, I want to go get our tree. The plan is to spend the evening decorating the tree, cake and presents. We'll see how the day actually turns out...
Once Friday is done and over with, I will direct all my attention to the boys party which is the following weekend. I am pooped already just writing about it.
Stay tuned to see if all these plans panned out as I hope for them to...
