Where were you on 9/11?

I am writing this blog because I read a fellow blogger and she had posted the same kind of post. She wanted to know where all the readers where on 9/11. So, to answer her, and just to share , here is where I was.

My then b/f ( now husband) were talking about moving in together. Things were not great with my parents, So, I decided to stay with a friend until we found our place. I remember the first whisper of it, I was sleeping, and my friends b/f had calls and asked for Jody, I said she was sleeping I would have her call when she got up.. I do not remember if at that time he had said anything. he called back a second time and said you guys really need to get up, go get Jody, turn on the news. I had to work that day, Jody was off ( we worked together ) I got Jody we turned on the news, I eventually for ready for work. I do not know why it did not even cross my mind to call the mall to see if they were even going to be open, I could have saved myself a 45 min drive. Trust me, I would have rather of not driven to work. There was something about that day. It did not feel like a Tuesday, and the air was not crisp, there was an eerie feeling. I was walking thru the mall to the store, and I heard on one of the security speakers they were locking all the doors. I called someone, I think the area manager to just let them know ( naturally the mall was closed). I headed back changed into sweats and I remember cuddling with a blanket all day watching TV. Words could never describe what one felt, let alone the people out there that were loosing a loved one minute after minute as this disaster unfolded. I am blessed and grateful to have my family. And God bless the families today they live without there loved one that has gone missing over 9/11.

Where were you 9/11?

Thank you for telling us your story. So far, you have been the only blogger to reply. Thanks again.

I was on my commute to work thinking it was strange that my normal radio station was not playing music, but (what I thought) were old recaps of a disaster, such as Oklahoma City or something. Little did I know, until I got to work, that those stories were what was happening at that very moment on that day! It was definitely hard to get work done that day. Little did I know that I was pregnant (or about to be pregnant) with Dominic during that time. There were lots of June 2002 babies born and named after Our Country's men and women who lost their lives or risked theirs to save others'. Incredible stories out there.
