Looks like we survived...

The first week of school. I must say with little or no issues. Andrew had a VERY minor talking problem in class, which resulted in sitting aside in a chair. He is apart of the chatter box club lol. As Steven was reading the student parent handbook he read the section on discipline. It spoke about pink slips and getting send to the office ect. Andrew chimed in to tell us that he was put on time out and got in trouble for talking. It then became this lavish, fabricated story, at which point I said I will just talk to the teacher in the morning when I drop him off. When I dropped him off I brought it up and she smiled and said he just talks a lot, there is a group of them. It makes me feel better my child is not the only one running his mouth, at the same time we want Andrew to learn there is a time to talk and a time to learn. She said if it was ever a problem she would call or send a note. The question now is, does Andrew still deserve a toy?

We made an agreement with Andrew, that if he made it thru the first week of school like a big boy, no problem, no calls ( which would have taken a lot to get ), going to bed with no issues, eating his dinners ect., that we would take him to Target to pick a toy.

Stay tuned for the "Is he still worthy" verdict....

Yes, he is worthy! Kindergarten's a BIG thing! What a trooper. You pick something for yourself too, like Calgon!?! lol.

I nearly lost it when Dominic came home with weekly reports stating his "card" was pulled for this or that. It doesn't happen everyday, and is once in a blue moon. It seems to be just off days it occurs. Plus, we found out "who" he sits next to affects him and his behavior.

It's not just Andrew. Don't think that. The kids will soon learn the classroom rules. This is just a bump.

Congrats, you made it!
