Andrew has this thing with movies. He always ends up liking the ones that might be a little bit ahead for his age group. I mean really, now that I think about it, he has sort of been like that from the start.. even with toys. He never wanted the "kiddie" stuff that was age appropriate. It was never anything inappropriate.. just stuff you might not normally think to buy your 2 year old. Who knows maybe he might learn something he would not have learned until he was 4? So, as long as it was appropriate I never had a problem with it.
Back to my point.. A couple, or maybe it was even last Halloween season, Steven rented "The Nightmare before Christmas". I think the reason was Steven had never seen it and the Corps Bride was out.. or something like that. Maybe it was just to get in the whole Holiday spirit for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. None the less, we watched it and it was pretty cute. Andrew of course LOVED it. He always sings that part " What's this" I think it is when he goes into Christmas Town.
I always like to think about a month or more ahead for Halloween. Just for the simple fact that it is always hard to beat out of your kid what they want to be because they pretty much change there minds about 50 times. And if you are one of the lucky parents where your kids wants to be Spider man, a last minute costume stop might not be so bad. You might just need to go to a couple stores before getting your size. When they are 1 and 2 it is generally what you like, so as picky as Steven is , he likes the different costumes. Andrew's first year he was Dumbo. Which has been kept and will be worn by Luke =). Second year it was Darth Vader. Original, right? Third it was Little Frankenstein, which was actually a hit, We got tons of comments while Trick or Treating. And this year " drumroll please ( lol) It started with Power Ranger to a Pirate to a Pilot to a bird ( YES A BIRD! ) and then it finally settled of Mr. Jack Skellington the Pumpkin King. As I began my search for the early costume I got concerned because all I was finding was adult sizes. After about 30 min I am not sure what I typed it but I finally found it at The Disney Store. That was a huge task this weekend was getting to the mall and getting that costume before they were wiped out. 2 sizes left Horray. We have tried it on 2 times and now Mr. Jack Skellington sits in the hall closet ( glowing in the dark ) until Halloween night. Lets just hope come Halloween he still glows hehe.

Hilarious! How fun! Oh, we've been talking "Power Ranger" since LAST October... and of course he's a Power Ranger any time he wants his costume on!
Yes, little Andrew played his Young Frankenstein well last year, I can't wait to see his costume. How awesome that the Disney store had it!
I think Bianca is a huge fan of "Nightmare..." too. I, myself, have never seen them. "Beetlejuice" is as close as I get. LOL.
That is Bianca and my favorite movie... I liked the Corpse Bride too... but we watch this all the time. Can't get enough of it.
Can't wait to see Andrew in his costume. What is daddy going as this time around? Last year I loved Leatherface.... of course Bianca didn't.....
